| Sustainable Bolting and Bolt Removal | Belay Bolts While the loading on protection bolts will usually be limited by rope stretch and a lower fall factor this is often not so for belays, in particular on multi-pitch routes. Our preference is for "bombproof" belays with two bolts, each easily capable of withstanding any load a climber can put on them. Bolt Products belay bolts have larger eyes to make clipping multiple karabiners more convenient and to allow the rope to be easily doubled through. We produce a variety of enormously strong belay bolts, both glue-in and bolt-in to suit most applications especially when combined with one of our lower-off range. We recommend always fitting two bolts at a lower-off or belay. |

Glue-in Belay Bolts

6mm Rod Twisted Leg Large Eye.
Standard lower-off or belay bolt with 35mm I/D dropped eye. Strong, simple and ideal for most routes. Large eye allows for multiple carabiners and doubled threading the rope.
(Not suitable for regular use as toprope anchor unless fitted with maillons).

12mm Rod Monster Belay Bolt
A simple, massive 12mm eye bolt for years of reliable belaying, abseiling or lowering-off. Extra large 60mm eye for plenty of karabiners and easy threading the rope. Our machined triple start grooves give enormous pull-out resistance in excess of 60kN but still allows removal at a later date.

The larger eye version of our rod protection hanger for use at belays. Also suitable for use as a lower-off in medium use areas.
Immensly strong rod construction prevents damage to karabiners and slings and allows direct threading of the rope for abseiling.
Double welded for safety.
Eye takes multiple karabiners and allows for easy doubled threading of the rope.
